That didn’t happen for me until we moved in together and I saw the domestic side of things but that doesn’t mean to say your not normal, everyones different xxx

I never picture other boys holding my future child, that would be most unnerving. 😛

The whole this is pretty natural; as a woman you would be expected to select a mate that would take care of you in all the ways that you need; part of this would be that they would have to be a supportive father should you ever reproduce; there is a sequence in “Look who’s talking” where Kirsty Alley goes on dates and imagines the “potential fathers” – identifying the weaknesses and flaws and how they could affect the character of her child.

I think if you see a guy you like, but cannot imagine him with a child; then (mentally) he’s not in a position where he will be ready to settle down; to commit and have children and all that sort of thing. PJB – I think the marriage thing is similar; it’s about commitment – and seeing if you see him making that leap.

That all said, these are judgements you make on your opinion of where someone is. They’re not necessarily right and people can surprise you in ways that you wouldn’t necessarily expect.

It’s all normal. As are the things guys think when they see a lady they like…
