    agreed. and also by how the contracts are too – if it’s permanent/temp, etc. Plus sometimes their are valid reasons for the pay disparities, I don’t mean fair in a human sense, but valid as in sensible economics. Feminists seem unable to accept that we’re two different genders so there will always be differences – not all differences equal inequalities.

    I think the whole thing is a mess because people try to work things out in figures. It’s not about figures, it’s about people. What if less women want to be long distance lorry drivers, for instance, do we have to still strive to have the same number of both? Surely what is needed is equality in the sense that any qualified person regardless of race, gender, etc has the same chance or receiving the jobs they apply for. Quotas and things never work. Positive discrimination is a myth.
